Under Thin Ice

Jill Heinerth

“It is hard to imagine anyone who better embodies the courange and commitment of Exploration”

Jill Heinerth is The Royal Canadian Geographical Society’s Explorer in residence and has explored more of this planet’s oceans than almost anyone else.  From cave diving in a free-floating iceberg using an experimental rebreather to diving in the underground water filled caves below the Northern Sahara Desert, Jill is never far from the water or adventure.  As her own website attests, more people have been to the moon than have visited some of the places Jill has explored, and her accolades and awards span the globe, but very often involve film.

At the Underwater Film Festival, viewers will have an exclusive showing of one act of her newest project, the yet to be released “Under Thin Ice”
